Owners Coleen and Jeff Hall were both born and raised in Michigan, Coleen in the Grand Rapids area, and Jeff in the Gladwin area. In 1999 they were both living in the Cadillac area. Coleen was the Deputy Court Administrator for the 84th District Court, and Jeff was a 911 Operator and Dispatch Supervisor for the Wexford County Sheriff's Department. They met, fell in love and were married in December of 2000. Jeff had been a firefighter for about 8 years and was a member of the McBain Fire Department. Coleen got her firefighter certification, and also became a member of the Fire Department. Coleen also became the Advisor for the McBain Fire Explorer Post 300. Jeff became an advisory board member for the Explorer Post.
In May of 2005, Jeff and Coleen were going on vacation. The plan was to go east, along the eastern seaboard for 2 weeks. About a month before the vacation started, Jeff was talking to a friend that had moved to Jerome, AZ, about 7 years earlier. That friend convinced Jeff and Coleen to go west, visit Jerome and the area. They arrived in Jerome, and within 20 minutes, decided that this was the kind of town they wanted to live in. In December of 2005 they moved to the Jerome area and in May of 2006 they Opened Gisele's.
